We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Teaching Personnel. We are working with a vibrant and nurturing primary school in the heart of Crook.
Whether you’re an experienced TA or just starting out in education, this is an exciting opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals, support pupils across the curriculum, and help every child reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work under the guidance of class teachers and senior staff to support learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
* Assist with classroom management, lesson preparation, and creating a positive learning environment.
* Foster children’s social, emotional, and academic development through supportive interactions and encouragement.
* Monitor pupil progress and feedback to teachers and SENDCo as required.

We are looking for someone who:
* Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s education and wellbeing.
* Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
* Works well as part of a team and can take initiative when needed.
* Ideally holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or is willing to work towards one).
* Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children.
