About the role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our production team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of skincare bulk formulations, ensuring that products are produced safely, accurately and in accordance with company procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). The role may also involve supporting other areas of production, including filling and packing if required.
Key Responsibilities:
Understanding and following Standard Operating Procedures and Manufacturing Methods.
Manufacture skincare products by blending, heating and cooling formulations using production machinery.
Measuring and blending ingredients according to the batch record/works order using the correct apparatus and adhering to the processes stated.
Understanding of pH levels would be preferable.
Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) is followed for raw materials, also scanning materials using a handheld device.
Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
Adopting washing/disinfection techniques such as spraying, cleaning, and wiping down.
Completing documentation in line with company policies and procedures.
Ensuring there is adequate raw material stock and rotating stock accordingly.
Storing raw material deliveries in correct location.
To support other production areas (filling, packing etc) if required.
Always maintain high standard of hygiene.
Ensure Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
Understanding of the physical nature of the position.
Follow instructions carefully, a keen eye for detail is essential.
Complete batch manufacturing records and production documentation accurately and in real time.
Maintain full traceability of raw materials and finished batches.
Follow procedures to prevent cross-contamination between products and batches.
Report any equipment faults, deviations, or quality issues to the Production Manager/QA.
Work collaboratively with the wider production team to meet production schedules and targets.
Skills / Requirements:
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
Experience operating production or mixing machinery is preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment (cosmetics, food or pharmaceutical manufacturing would be advantageous)
Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Basic IT skills
Well spoken and written English.
A high level of accuracy in all work and a keen eye for detail is essential
Physically fit as the role can involve lifting raw materials and working in an active manufacturing environment.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic and organised
Ability to prioritise is essential
Hours of work: On Site Monday to Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm (occasional overtime required)
