Prevention & Engagement Worker (Ref: 0007ZC)
As a Prevention and Engagement Worker, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, partner agencies, service commissioners, and internal clinical/mental health teams to ensure clients receive prompt advice and treatment.
Main duties of the job
Your role will involve delivering an integrated service through assessments, recovery plans, referrals, support, care coordination, and interventions such as psychosocial support, pharmacotherapy, and harm reduction. You will confidently assess WithYou clients, conduct triage and comprehensive assessments, and make appropriate referrals to specialist agencies.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* OCN/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to achieve within 12 months
Experience
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Experience in health, social care, criminal justice, or related settings
* Knowledge of substance misuse issues and working with clients affected by drugs or alcohol
* Proven track record with substance misuse clients
* Understanding of health and safety, risk assessment, and high-risk situations
* Knowledge of group work, assessments, care planning, harm reduction, and related topics
* Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong relationship-building skills with stakeholders
