Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and portion control guidelines.
* Manage food inventory, ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients in compliance with food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with management to develop seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
* Monitor kitchen equipment for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
* Engage with guests when necessary to enhance their dining experience.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the restaurant industry.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
* Previous experience in hospitality is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and service.
