You will deliver engaging, inclusive lessons, track progress, provide feedback, and guide students toward exam success. From enrolment to results day, you play a pivotal role in their journey while contributing to curriculum development and maintaining high academic standards within a supportive department.
Responsibilities
* Teach A-Level Chemistry in line with the AQA syllabus.
* Plan and develop engaging, comprehensive lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities.
* Manage student behaviour and engagement in line with the College behaviour policy.
* Set and mark assignments, monitor student progress and provide feedback to help students prepare for the A-Level exams.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and grades.
* Write reports and communicate with parents about student progress.
* Contribute to departmental development through curriculum planning, quality assurance, internal verification of student work, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
* A degree in Chemistry or a related field.
* Familiarity with current research and developments to keep lessons relevant and interesting.
* Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
* Skill in explaining difficult ideas in a way that is accessible to students.
