About the Role
We are momentarily hiring a professional Architectural Technician/Technologist to join the team of a leading residential projects studio based near Southampton. With over 50 years producing some of the UKs finest residential developments and mixed-use communities, our client prides itself on bringing together a strong and enthusiastic team of professionals. This role demands confidence in project planning from stages 3 to completion. To become a key member of this bustling, proactive studio, you must feel confident in the responsibility to oversee technical challenges of a project, to punctually meet deadlines handson, whilst reporting back to clientele and senior technicians. A strong applicant will hold themselves to a high standard of workmanship with experience in working with structural engineering plans and building services.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce high-quality technical drawings for bespoke residential projects.
* Align cost information directly with final budget plans.
* Contribute to overcoming challenges with onsite contractors whilst managing expectations of clientele.
* Collaborate closely with the architects and design team to craft innovative and sustainable residential projects.
* Provide input across all stages of the design process.
* Assist in preparing comprehensive planning application packs, including drawings, 3D visualisations, and graphic outputs.
* Work alongside project leaders to ensure accuracy and completeness of planning documentation.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* Minimum of 5 years experience (UK based) projects.
* High proficiency in Revit, including content and family creation, variety of building/construction types.
* A keen interest in Architectural design including the production of Stage 0-3 planning drawings, sketches, schematics.
* Experience in large scale construction detailing, production of working drawings (Stage 3-6 preferable).
* The ability to work independently and within the team.
* Proficient communicator both verbally and written.
* Meticulous attention to detail and adeptness at multitasking.
* Motivated to advance professionally and participate in CPD activities
