Chemopet was established as an LLP by Iain Grant and Josephine Jones in 2012 to provide both chemotherapy medications and support to vets caring for patients who have been diagnosed with cancer. It is a friendly, dedicated team which prides itself on a high-quality service.
The role is based at the VMD licensed premises Chemopet, The Heath Business & Technical Park, Runcorn, Cheshire, United Kingdom, WA7 4QX
SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Pharmacy Technician will contribute to Chemopet efforts to foster outstanding patient care, and exceptional experience and engagement for vets using our services. Primarily responsible for safe and accurate chemotherapy dispensing and packaging with some administrative tasks. You will have excellent communication skills, be care-driven, exceptionally organised, thorough and able to support a team environment. The hours for the job are 40/week, 5 days/week with no requirement to work weekends or bank holidays.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Clinical Excellence & Patient Care
2. Ensure best-practice, evidence-based cancer treatment is accessible to general practitioners.
3. Identify service and policy development changes needed to ensure a continuing excellent service level.
4. Professional Training & Team Development
5. Lead by example and be instrumental in creating excellent working relationships both internally and externally.
6. Identify personal training needs, proposing appropriate resources to address these training requirements.
7. Day-to day activities
8. Processing of digital prescriptions
9. Creating invoices
10. The efficient, safe and accurate dispensing of injectable and oral chemotherapy
11. Checking and packing of orders for dispatch
12. Cleaning equipment and maintaining a safe working environment
13. Receiving stock into the pharmacy
14. Maintaining the client data base
15. Interacting with vets and nurses to resolve queries

Data/Security
The post holder is responsible for ensuring they maintain the integrity and quality of both computerised and manual data.
