Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Senior Safeguarding Officer to join our team. You will join us on a full time permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary starting from £23,902 per annum (FTE). The Role is Home Based, with occasional travel across the UK. About the Senior Safeguarding Officer role: This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an amazing team, making a real difference by helping people in need. Everyone has the right to be safe and our safeguarding team ensure that individuals in contact with our organisation are protected from harm, abuse or neglect. As a Senior Safeguarding Officer, you will oversee the day to day running and priorities of the Safeguarding Teams operations, as well as input into strategic developments. Acting as an internal or external representative as required. You will be the point of contact for advice & guidance for the safeguarding team members, other support teams and service staff, providing an escalation route. You will also be required to host regular meetings with other departments and deliver ad-hoc training. The Safeguarding Team are responsible for the management of safeguarding risks across our organisation, ensuring clients, volunteers, staff and beneficiaries remain safe at all times. You will provide front line support for all individuals that interact with the charity in need of wellbeing support or safeguarding interventions, gathering and providing Information, support, making referrals and ensuring protection as appropriate to the most vulnerable members of our society. Where appropriate, offering services advice and guidance about how to manage and support safeguarding concerns. Hours: This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week. This role is designed to act as part of a 3 week rolling rota that provides safeguarding cover seven days per week, between 8am-8pm. Please not this role does include weekend and evening work.
