Keep Our Site Safe and Secure at Humberstone Road
The Role
As Site Security Officer, you will be responsible for protecting the site, its assets, and people across our Humberstone Road and Ladysmith locations. You will manage a busy gatehouse, respond to security issues, and serve as the first point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors. If you are observant, reliable, and confident dealing with people at all levels, this could be the role for you.
Payrate: £13.92
Your Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment, protecting company property, facilities, and product against theft, trespass, and unauthorised entry
- Operating effectively across both the Humberstone Road and Ladysmith security gatehouses
- Greeting staff, visitors, and delivery drivers courteously and ensuring all signing‑in and visitor procedures are followed
- Patrolling the site to identify potential security or food safety (TACCP) breaches
- Acting as the key point of contact for security issues, escalating where required
- Producing clear, accurate security reports for senior personnel
- Initiating site procedures during unannounced audits and compliance inspections
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills with accurate record‑keeping ability
- Confident with computers and able to pick up new systems quickly
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain professional and calm under pressure
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible, including availability for bank holidays on a rota basis
- Previous security experience is preferred but not essential; training can be provided
- Must hold or be willing to obtain an SIA licence and First Aid qualification
