Copart is currently recruiting a National Transport Planner to work as part of our team, based at our office in Bedford.
The National Transport Planner is responsible for managing the efficient day-to-day routing of all Copart’s collections, deliveries, and returns for the entire national fleet of Transporters and the network of sub-contractors.
You will continually review and improve fleet productivity at the most effective cost, ensuring all customer SLA’s are met or exceeded, while maintaining high standards of customer service for both external and internal customers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Cost-effective daily route scheduling using PTV Route Optimiser.
* Create daily reports to analyze and improve collection and delivery performance and productivity.
* Maintain routing software settings for optimal performance.
* Achieve and surpass internal KPI targets.
* Engage with subcontractors and yards to maintain performance levels.
* Provide monthly reports on MPM, fleet productivity, driver & sub-haul usage, and costs.
Essential Attributes
* Experience in route planning using routing software.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate meaningful Excel reports.
* Proven track record of achieving or exceeding KPI targets.
* Ability to identify and implement improvements in route scheduling.
* Proficiency in Excel and MS Office packages.
* Teamwork skills.
* Experience in the vehicle recovery industry.
* Knowledge of Apex Rescue and Recovery platform.
* CPC Qualification.
* At least one year of experience with PTV or similar routing software, preferably in a multi-site operation.
