A welcoming and inclusive school in Basingstoke is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs.
This role would suit individuals with experience in education, care, or support work, as well as those looking to gain valuable classroom experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
In this role, the SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils both in the classroom and in small groups, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop key social and communication skills. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and consistent learning environment.
Within this role, you will:
* Support pupils with SEN in the classroom and during small group activities
* Assist with the delivery of targeted interventions
* Help pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
* Encourage independence and participation in lessons
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support learning outcomes

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Previous experience is beneficial but not essential.
