Business Development Executive
Location: York
This role is ideal for a driven individual with a passion for identifying opportunities, building relationships, and contributing to strategic growth within the construction and engineering sectors. You'll play a key part in expanding the company's client base and strengthening its market presence across building, civil engineering, fabrication, fire engineering, and facilities management.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives
Identify and engage potential clients across relevant sectors
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and industry influencers
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bid documentation
Collaborate with marketing and operational teams to support lead generation and brand visibility
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings
Skills & Experience
Experience in business development, ideally within construction or engineering
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively
Understanding of regional construction markets and procurement processes
