Assistant Accountant
Birmingham
Up to £32,500
CV Screen is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a fantastic business based in Birmingham. This is a mat leave cover position, but with an extremely high possibilitythe role will become permanent.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES:
* Manage aged debt and liaise with solicitors as needed.
* Issue rental invoices and process direct debits.
* Perform weekly and quarterly account reconciliations.
* Approve payments and ensure proper authorisation.
* Oversee service charge accounts and tenant billing.
* Reconcile intercompany accounts.
* Support financial reporting and analysis.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close.
REQUIRED SKILLS
The Assistant Accountant will have the majority of the following experience:
*
o Ideally part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or AAT
o Intercompany balances experience
o Practical experience with management accounts
o Housing sector experience would be highly desirable
o Xero experience
