We are seeking an experienced Exams Officer with strong administration skills to join our dedicated, hardworking team which supports all aspects of student administration here at The Deaf Academy. Working under the direction of the MIS and Administration Manager, you would be integral to ensuring our students have the opportunity to undertake their exams and assessments in the appropriate environment to enable them to perform at their best. This role is contracted for 37 hours a week, 52 weeks, with 30 days holiday allowance. Other working hours arrangements may be considered, which should be noted on the application form and discussed during the interview process. Whilst there may be flexibility in considering working arrangements, due to exam results in the summer and preparation of the timetable for September it is important that these requirements of summer working are met. About the role: Exams To act on behalf of the Academy in matters relating to the general administration of awarding body examinations and assessments. To maintain systems to manage and coordinate all aspects of the exams administration process, to ensure key tasks are undertaken in an accurate and effective manner and external key dates and deadlines are met. To organise the provision of Access Arrangements and/or Reasonable Adjustments for candidates on behalf of the Assistant Principals with SEN Coordination delegated responsibility. Timetabling To manage the start and end of year process using the MIS. To implement and accurately maintain the Academy timetables, using the MIS database system. College Administration To provide administrative support to college (post-16 and post-19). To attend meetings with Head and Deputy Head of College gaining an overview of the current and future plans, supporting where appropriate, including taking minutes for meetings where required. Assessment To assist with the setup and maintenance of the system used to track and monitor assessments carried out at the Academy. Education Administration Support To provide general administrative support, as directed by Line Manager. Information Management Systems To act as system administrator for the MIS database, including ensuring that the data held is accurate, secure and complete at all times.
