Responsibilities
* To provide a clinical pharmacy service to the Renal Speciality within the Medicine Division at RCHT.
* To provide specialist pharmacy advice and training in renal medicines management and optimisation to consultants, junior medical staff, nursing staff, pharmacy staff, other healthcare professionals, and patients/carers.
* To assist in the provision of regular structured feedback to renal regarding the safe and effective use of medicines and drug expenditure to facilitate service improvement.
* To undertake and contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement within Pharmacy and the Speciality.
* To support the General Medicine team across professional and organisational boundaries.

Person Specification
Essential
Qualifications
* Degree in Pharmacy
* GPhC Registration
* Clinical diploma or equivalent or working towards
Desirable
* Non-medical prescriber (or willing to train)
* RPS membership
Experience
* Significant post-registration covering a range of specialities.
* Sufficient experience as a clinical pharmacist
* Clinical supervision or training of junior staff
Desirable
* Sufficient experience of providing a clinical pharmacy service in a hospital environment
* Experience of deputising for a more senior clinical pharmacist
