Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
* Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
* Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential financial challenges.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate project costing.
* Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors.
* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
* Provide regular reports on project costs and forecasts to senior management.
* Assist in resolving any disputes related to costs or contracts.
Requirements
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of cost control practices and methodologies.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
