The Opportunity
Abbott’s Neuromodulation business is recruiting for a (Senior) Clinical Specialist to cover Region North (ideal candidate’s location Yorkshire or Leeds) to support customers and deliver best in class implantation and follow-up of DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) and SCS (Spinal Cord Stimulation) across designated NHS and private hospitals.
What you’ll do:
1. Provide primary technical support to customers during implantation and follow-up
2. Perform Complex device/ programming troubleshooting independently
3. Assist in the management and delivery of regional customer education training events
4. Develop a clear understanding of regional account objectives and strategy for all accounts within the assigned region
5. To build strong and professional relationships in various hospital settings
6. Support regional NMD business strategy, via product implantation cover in accounts as agreed with the leadership team
This is a field based role with willingness to travel min 75% of the time.
What you’ll need
7. BSc degree, ideally in a Scientific discipline
8. Experience in medical devices industry or physiotherapist/Pain Nurse looking to move into industry
9. Knowledge of UK healthcare market
10. Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable with regards working hours and location of customer support
11. Strong Communication Skills: Verbal and Written.
12. Familiarity with clinic setting and operating room procedures and protocol (preferred)
13. Good keyboard skills and presentation skills to include: MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point and Email
