Overview
Accountant vacancy within our Corporate Services team to support financial operations, ensure compliance with statutory regulations and standards, and contribute to budgeting, financial planning and reporting. The role includes supporting the implementation of a new finance and procurement system and acting as the subject matter expert for corporate finance, including budgeting, general ledger structures, treasury management, and other financial operations.
Responsibilities
* Support financial operations within the local authority and ensure practices comply with statutory regulations and standards.
* Contribute to budgeting, financial planning and financial reporting to enable efficient management of resources and service delivery.
* Support the implementation of a new finance and procurement system, serving as the subject matter expert for corporate finance.
* Provide expertise in budgeting, general ledger structures, treasury management, and other financial operations to ensure smooth integration with existing processes.
* Engage in business partnering across multiple finance and non-finance teams; prepare budgets and forecasts; support key financial decisions.
* Communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders using multiple channels; maintain proactive and collaborative working relationships.

* Experience in business partnering across multiple finance and non-finance teams; experience in preparing budgets and forecasts.
