Job Overview
We are seeking multiple dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operatives to join our team in a fast-paced food production environment. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be comfortable with frequent standing and walking, as well as moving goods up to 10kg.
Duties
DECANTING
* Examine and inspect product for foreign bodies and quality.
* Pay particular attention when opening bags/sacks/boxes of product to ensure no contamination occurs.
* Decant at a pace that ensures that the Multihead remains full, and the machine does not run empty
PACKING
* To work as part of the team on each packing line taking instruction from Line Leader.
* To work as part of the team to reduce downtime and waste and to improve productivity levels.
* Pack according to customers specifications.
* Seal and stack finished products on pallets to customers' specifications.
* Remove defective products or materials from packing lines.
* To take responsibility to apply accurate, correctly positioned labels, to film, bags, tubs and boxes according to product specification.
* To ensure that all areas of hygiene, housekeeping, food safety, allergen management are always met.
* To ensure line speeds are met when packing alone or as part of a team.
* Clean downs are to be completed as per work instruction ensuring validated timings are met.
* To help coach and support all new staff, including temporary staff.
* To ensure that all tasks are carried out safely and in a safe working environment.
* Any other duties requested by your supervisor or Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in food production or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
* Proficient in basic mathematics for accurate measurement and recording of production data.
* Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in all aspects of work.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
