Civil, Structural & Geotechnical Engineering | Principal Recruitment Consultant |
We’re looking for an experienced ground investigation professional to join a multidisciplinary company. You’ll manage and supervise ground investigations, collect and interpret site and lab data, and produce technical reports across infrastructure sectors including rail, highways, and waterways.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage ground investigation tasks and coordinate supply chains.
* Conduct fieldwork including soil and rock logging, sampling, and in-situ testing.
* Prepare factual reports and schedule lab analyses.
* Ensure health and safety compliance on site.
* Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
* Maintain strong client relationships and clear communication.
Requirements:
* Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.
* Must have at least a couple of years of post‑grad experience in the UK on geo‑environmental projects.
* Site supervision experience (e.g. drilling contractors).
* Strong understanding of ground investigation risks and safety.
* SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.
* Skilled in factual reporting.
* Progressing toward professional chartership.
* Experience in rail/highways is a plus.
* 6‑month initial contract.
* Location: Scotland
* Minimum 12 months experience in geo‑environmental projects.
* Inside IR35 – role may get re‑assessed
