Your New Role
As a Building Surveyor, you'll be responsible for diagnosing and specifying day-to-day repairs, conducting stock condition and measured surveys, and managing contractors to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. You'll work closely with the Senior Building Surveyor and use your expertise to advise on legislation, health & safety compliance, and cost control, while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with clients and residents.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Proven experience in housing maintenance within a Local Authority
* HRA experience
* Strong knowledge of building construction, pathology, and legislation
* Practical surveying skills and familiarity with health & safety regulations
* Ability to manage contractors and resolve disputes
* Commercial awareness and cost control capabilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and surveying software
* Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
* Full valid Driving Licence with access to a car
* An HNC in Construction would be preferred
