Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering & Manufacturing Service Division is supporting a dynamic and innovative global manufacturer in the Automotive industry with the recruitment of a Head of Field Service Engineering within their UK Aftermarket division.
The Head of Field Service Engineering will be responsible for both the field-based Technical Service Engineering and the Customer Service delivery functions throughout the UK and will be based at their Service Centre in Essex.
The Head of Field Service Engineering will lead the overall field service function throughout the UK and develop a technical and customer focused strategic approach to technical troubleshooting, innovation and service delivery for vehicles on the road under warranty and new vehicles arriving in the UK.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES FOR THE HEAD OF FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERING WILL INCLUDE:
* Responsible for developing an aftermarket field service engineering strategy
* Responsible for leading and delivering programs of transformation and business improvement initiatives
* Create and build on positive and intimate relationships with customers, establishing trust and credibility, demonstrating technical acumen
* Lead and manage effective field service engineering delivery
* Ensure that the appropriate Quality systems and processes are documented and followed to meet the ISO9001 standard and high levels of health & safety are always followed and adhered to throughout the Field and in the Service Centres
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE HEAD OF FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERING INCLUDE:
* Leadership experience within Transport Vehicle Engineering with L3 qualification
* Experience at Master Technician Level within Automotive Servicing
* Experienced working with Electronic Vehicles, including batteries and high voltages
* Experienced in working with automotive diagnostics software
* Intuitive, energetic, and charismatic, you will be forward-thinking, the type to create opportunities, and will have a passion for creating and delivering customer excellence
* Excellent communication skills
* A dynamic person who knows how to create credible solutions for a highly demanding customer base
* The drive and leadership skills to push the department forward, implementing new ideas along the way
