Senior Associate - MENA Desk
About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Associate to lead, mentor and elevate Dragonfly’s profile across the MENA region. The role reports to the Associate Director for Research and is integral to the production and delivery of client-ready SIAS work. In addition to regional analytical responsibilities, this position includes team supervision, peer review, project leadership and strategic input across the business.
About the Team:
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) team at Dragonfly, a Dow Jones company, is responsible for delivering high-quality regional analysis through our Security Intelligence and Analysis Service (SIAS). This service provides anticipatory security and strategic intelligence to global businesses and international organisations. The MENA team consists of three analysts based in London and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely, actionable insight.
You Will:
1. Produce and deliver high-quality, client-ready security intelligence and political risk analysis for the MENA region
2. Guide and mentor junior analysts, providing direction and peer review support
3. Lead analytical or commercial initiatives, contributing to business growth and client satisfaction
You Have:
4. Significant experience in political risk, security intelligence, or regional affairs related to the Middle East and North Africa
5. Demonstrated ability to produce written assessments, briefings, and project work to deadline and a client-ready standard
6. Strong research skills, including open-source investigation and familiarity with data-driven analysis tools
7. Experience guiding junior analysts or teams in a collaborative environment
8. Regional language skills or first-hand professional experience in MENA is a plus
9. Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau or ArcGIS is desirable
