Engineering Team Leader
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Shifts: 4 on, 4 off – 12-hour shifts
Wagstaff Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a major food manufacturer who operate at pace and have experienced significant growth through increased market share and recent acquisitions. To strengthen their engineering team at their Middlesbrough site, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Engineering Team Leader.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experience engineer with leadership skills to join a progressive and fast-moving organisation where you will play a key role in leading day-to-day maintenance activity, driving improvements and ensuring engineering excellence across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support maintenance engineering activities across the site
Ensure Health & Safety and Quality standards are upheld at all times
Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, installations, servicing and repairs
Work with PLC and HMI-controlled equipment to maintain production efficiency
Deliver planned preventative maintenance schedules
Support engineering improvement projects and initiatives
Train and mentor other engineers within the team
Promote a proactive engineering culture focused on reliability and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For:
Strong engineering background with electrical bias
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Good knowledge of fault finding, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability
Comfortable working on electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics and conveyor systems
Self-motivated with excellent time management and communication skills
Team player who can also work on own initiative
