About the role
A bit about this role
As a Business Development Manager, your core focus will be to identify, target, and win new independent foodservice customers across London (within the M25). This is a pure new-business role — ideal for someone who thrives on hunting for opportunities and building relationships from the ground up.
You'll use your deep knowledge of meat products — from cuts and sourcing to spec and pricing — to build trust and deliver tailored, commercially viable solutions that meet your customers’ full menu and business needs. Collaboration is key; you'll work with our production, technical, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from pitch to plate.
This is a high-profile opportunity in a competitive, fast-moving territory — and the rewards reflect that.
You’ll have

2 – 5 years in the meat industry
Strong understanding of meat species - cuts, specs, sourcing, pricing, and customer requirements
A proven track record of winning and developing new business – especially in the independent sector
Ability to sell on value, not just price – you understand how to present quality, service, and reliability as part of your pitch
Confident communicator and negotiator, able to build rapport with chefs, owners, and buyers alike
Knowledge of the London hospitality market (inside the M25)
Commercially aware, target-driven, and hungry for results
Full UK driving licence preferred and flexibility to cover the London region
Proficient in Excel with the ability to compose clear and professional emails
