 
        
        Speech & Language Therapist – Community Stroke
Join our Community Stroke Service in Candino CA as a Speech & Language Therapist. This role is an excellent opportunity for newly qualified therapists or those seeking specialist experience in stroke management. You will work within an early supported discharge framework, supporting patients several months after their stroke across homes and clinical settings.
Role Overview
 * Provide assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing difficulties for adults post‑stroke.
 * Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of SLPs, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and associates.
 * Deliver care in patients’ homes, nursing & residential homes, and community hospitals.
 * Participate in regular peer and personal supervision; access clinical lead and senior staff support.
 * Engage in in‑service training and contribute to developing specialist competencies, including dysphagia.
Qualifications
Registered Speech and Language Therapist with either newly qualified status or a desire to specialise in stroke care. Dysphagia competency is desirable but not mandatory; support will be provided if not yet completed.
