About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us at Sunbelt Rentals UK as a Regional HR Advisor. This regional role based in the Midlands gives you the autonomy to manage your own diary, combining homeworking with travel to sites and occasional visits to our head office in Warrington. You will have great exposure to our first‑class People team, to the ever‑growing operational teams, and to exciting projects while enjoying an enviable working style.
We are looking for someone who has a true passion for People and HR, with a desire to support the development and delivery of a people plan that enables a high‑performance culture. You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders in a multi‑site environment and bring a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities
Provide a top‑class HR advisory service to the business. Manage case work from cradle to grave, gaining exposure and development in upskilling, coaching, workforce planning, employee relations, TUPE and projects. Receive development and support from your line manager and the People Business Partner, ensuring the People function operates efficiently, effectively and in line with current legislation. Work closely with the wider People team to assist in delivering company‑wide people initiatives and projects.
Benefits
* Industry leading flexible rewards package, including generous holiday allowance (with the option to buy and sell annual leave), life assurance, retail discount scheme, employee recognition awards and a company pension scheme.
* Entitled to a Company Car or Car Allowance, laptop, phone and bonus scheme as part of the role.
Qualifications
You will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification (or be working towards it), have strong knowledge of employment legislation and current HR practices, and be confident advising stakeholders at all levels. Ideally, you have extensive experience as an HR generalist, are used to working autonomously, and are well‑versed in advising and coaching managers on ER issues. Excellent communication skills are critical for building relationships and influencing key stakeholders. You are confident working alone, advising managers day to day, and part of a larger team. You will travel across the operational network as required, with overnight stays likely. A full UK driving licence is essential. Applicants should live in a location with good transport links to operate effectively.
