Overview
Research Fellow in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Nottingham Trent University. Role(s): two fixed-term positions in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice (CCJ).
Responsibilities
* Support an evaluation of the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) Neighbourhood Fund across five hyper sites (Birmingham, Manchester, Norfolk, Cardiff, Bradford) within a consortium with NTU and Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU).
* Contribute to a mixed-methods evaluation with experience in quantitative statistical analysis and competence in R Studio or SPSS; apply quasi-experimental research methods.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work flexibly within a team environment.
* For the Grade G (36 months) role: assist with the evaluation as described above; for the Grade H (15 months) role: support secondary data analysis examining risk factors for youth and child violence using SPSS/R Studio/GIS; experience with open-source data and police data is desirable.
* Assist with interviews and focus groups with community members and practitioners; ideally engage with young people.
Qualifications
* Strong quantitative analysis skills; statistics training; experience in SPSS/R Studio and GIS for basic to advanced analyses (regression, spatial analysis).
* Experience with open-source data and, optionally, with police forces or police data.
* Good communication skills; ability to engage with diverse stakeholders; willingness to work in a collaborative, mixed-team environment.

Contract details
* Grade G, 36 months, full-time fixed term (salary £33,045–£38,026 per annum).
* Grade H, 15 months, full-time fixed term (salary £39,162–£44,052 per annum).
* Interviews: Weeks commencing 13 October (Grade H) and 20 October (Grade G).
