Overview
The Director of Partial Hospital Program (PHP) must have experience facilitating groups and be knowledgeable in the treatment of dual diagnosis and mental health disorders in a partial hospital setting. This role requires the ability to work independently, manage crises, and understand various levels of psychiatric care. The position is suitable for a master’s level clinician with relevant experience in treating patients with mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate staff meetings and clinical rounds.
* Supervise chart audits and oversee maintenance of patient notes.
* Supervise clinical staff and graduate students.
* Carry a caseload of four to five patients depending on census.
* Complete patient assessments including diagnosis, treatment planning, case management, and discharge planning.
* Perform utilization reviews.
* Lead groups focused on mental health and substance use disorders.
* Ensure compliance with standards from credentialing agencies such as insurers, the Joint Commission, and the Department of Public Health.
* Collaborate with insurance providers to meet requirements.
* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to determine appropriate levels of care.
* Perform administrative and clinical duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
* At least two years of clinical experience in addiction, mental health, or Partial Hospital Program settings.
* One to two years of supervisory experience.
* Licenses: LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC required.
