Role Summary
This 3-month Data Analyst Internship is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of data and AI. Based in Birmingham (with remote flexibility), you'll join Awakn's analytics team in an assistive role, supporting live projects, learning industry tools, and receiving mentorship from professionals who design intelligent business workflows. This internship is ideal for individuals eager to grow their technical skills while contributing to real-world business challenges.
What You'll Be Doing
* During the internship, you'll support a variety of tasks, including:
* Assisting with data preparation: collecting, cleaning, and validating datasets.
* Using Excel, SQL, and Python to run queries, explore data, and perform basic analysis.
* Helping design dashboards and reports that make insights easy to understand.
* Supporting AI workflow projects, e.g., preparing structured datasets for machine learning use.
* Conducting market and competitor research to enrich data insights.
* Documenting processes and results so findings can be shared across the team.
What We're Looking For
* Currently studying or recently graduated in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field.
* Comfortable with Excel; basic familiarity with SQL or Python.
* Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
* Strong communication skills, able to ask good questions and explain findings clearly.
* Self-motivated and able to manage tasks in a remote-first environment.
Nice-to-Haves
* Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
* Knowledge of predictive modelling or statistics.
