Our passionate kitchen team thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment and is looking for a talented Chef de Partie to join us in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
As Chef de Partie at The Fleece Hotel, you will be a key member of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing and cooking dishes to the highest standards. Your key duties will include:
* Food Preparation & Cooking: Ensure all dishes are prepared and cooked to the highest standards in line with our menu specifications and seasonal offerings.
* Section Management: Take ownership of your designated section, ensuring the smooth running of your area during service.
* Quality Control: Assist in maintaining consistency and high-quality standards across all dishes.
* Teamwork: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely service, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
* Stock Management: Assist in stock control, including receiving deliveries, rotation, and minimizing food waste.
* Hygiene & Health & Safety: Adhere to all health and safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations in the kitchen.
* Training & Development: Support junior team members in their development, ensuring skills are passed down and standards are maintained.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Experience: Previous experience in a Chef de Partie or similar role within a busy, high quality kitchen.
* Culinary Knowledge: A strong understanding of food preparation, presentation, and high standards of kitchen hygiene.
* Passion: A genuine passion for food and a desire to contribute to the growth and success of the kitchen team.
* Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team and under pressure, ensuring excellent service is delivered at all times.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and maintain a high level of productivity.
* Adaptability: Willingness to work in different sections and adapt to changing menus and requirements.
* Qualification: A relevant culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
