The Software Systems Engineer develops, modifies and codes software systems programming applications. Responsible for evaluating and preparing system engineering and technical analyses; documents, proposals for change, and other technical documentation.
Responsibilities
* Key participant in the development of end-user tools for data analysis, reporting and work flow processes with database communication
* Collaborate on analyzing the existing software and improving the processes
* Organize the Design and Test Lab departments on requirements of new functionality
* Key participant in integration of in-house software for our test equipment
* Taking part in on-site software debugging, machines further adaptation and optimization
* Key participant in the design and development of MES production applications covering the data pipe integrating shop floor to enterprise application with systems
* Working on Smart Factory Solutions as part of our Industry 4.0 Strategy
* Taking part in modifying and optimising existing systems and development of new opportunities
* Collaborating with various internal teams and external vendors on software projects
* Creating reporting tools for end users
* Providing production support for existing systems and processes developed by the MIS team
* Training end users to use new functions and systems
* Manage database backups and recovery procedures
* Implement database security measures to protect sensitive information
* Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
Qualifications
* A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

* Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
* Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results

* Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
Desirable Criteria
* MCSA & or MCSE in MS SQL
* 3+ years' experience in developing MES applications.
* Machine integration and data collection
* Experience in data optimization and report creation
* Proven track record of improving performance of database
* Experience and understanding of SQL Database Migration, Restoration and Maintenance
* Experience with data transformation and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processed.
