We are recruiting for a small animal practice in Maidenhead who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Nurse to join their team. This role is part time with 1 in 4 weekends. There will be no OOH work or on-call duties.
You will be joining a talented clinical team. The role will involve all aspects of nursing and you will be prepared to develop your skills by collaborating with the team. You will perform your nursing duties with confidence and competence to provide the gold standard of care to the practice's loyal clients by assisting vets in surgical procedures. You must have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Your nursing duties will involve managing the kennels, assisting in the operating theatre and consulting.
Duties:
6. Admissions and discharges
7. Working alongside the non-clinical and clinical team to ensure the smooth delivery of patient and client care
8. Be responsible and take ownership of tasks
9. Monitoring operations and assisting the vet in surgery
10. Administering medications and taking records accurately
11. In patient care
12. Nurse clinics
13. Measuring blood pressure, sampling, and pharmacy work
