We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to be based at our site in Holywell on our contract with Kingspan. As part of this busy transport operation, covering Mon to Fri.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Plan all Kingspan orders and shipments within SLA timeframes
* Allocate XPO core fleet across Kingspan sites using TMS and optimisation tools
* Manage subcontractor planning via TMS, ensuring job confirmation and accurate cost allocation
* Input all subcontractor costs into WTS
* Represent Planning Team in daily Ops calls
* Provide timely updates to Kingspan CS team, especially on at-risk or failed loads
* Act as liaison between Kingspan CS and XPO Transport Team
* Ensure all collections are planned and recorded accurately
* Proactively plan urgent orders and communicate delivery dates
* Notify Kingspan promptly of any changes or failed orders, with reasons and re-planning
* Maximise utilisation of core fleet resources
* Escalate any non-conformance to the Planning Manager/Supervisor immediately
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced transport environment
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A good understanding of compliance and driver hours would be beneficial
