Internal Controls Analyst Location: Wolverhampton Salary: Up to £60,000 About the Role Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an Internal Controls Analyst. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified professional, particularly a first-time mover from practice, to step into a role with broad exposure across finance. You will play a key role in strengthening the internal control environment, working closely with stakeholders across the business to identify risks, improve processes, and support effective governance. Key Responsibilities Strengthening internal controls - Support the development and enhancement of a robust internal controls framework across the organisation Risk identification and mitigation - Identify risks, control gaps, and areas of non-compliance, and work with stakeholders to implement practical solutions Business partnering - Collaborate with finance and operational teams to review processes, improve controls, and embed best practice Audit and review activity - Support internal audit and control testing programmes, focusing on insight, accuracy, and continuous improvement Driving improvements - Monitor action plans, support remediation efforts, and identify opportunities to enhance processes and efficiencies Policy and framework support - Assist in the development and rollout of internal control policies aligned with regulatory and organisational requirements Reporting and insight - Prepare clear, concise reports and communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders Training and guidance - Provide support and guidance to teams across the business, helping to build a strong controls culture About You ACA or ACCA qualified (essential) Background in audit, assurance, internal controls, or risk Ideally looking to make a first move from practice into industry Strong understanding of financial processes and controls Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive in approach Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Why Apply?
