As Events and Function Manager, you’ll support the smooth operation of the venue and sports bar during licensable hours. You’ll lead front-of-house service, manage staff, and coordinate resources to maintain a safe, welcoming, and efficient environment. Working closely with the Senior Management team, you’ll share responsibility for planning and executing events, ensuring operational excellence and guest satisfaction. Primarily evenings and weekends, including long shifts and late finishes. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily bar operations as directed by the Senior manager on shift Lead and supervise the front-of-house team, providing training and support Coordinate service delivery to ensure smooth and efficient operations Handle customer complaints and emergencies with professionalism Maintain accurate records and uphold compliance standards Apply health, safety, and quality assurance protocols Act as a key-holder, securing the premises responsibly Manage conflict resolution and guest behaviour, including safe ejection procedures Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality Oversee stock rotation, deliveries, and waste disposal Ensure bar hygiene, drink presentation, and customer comfort Monitor home team fixture lists and arrange team catering as needed Maintain clubhouse and grounds cleanliness to a high standard Safeguard cash floats and ensure secure handling during shifts
