We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager to take the helm of our daily transport operations!

✅WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Have clear understanding of Objectives and KPI's applicable to your role and your team
* Review and amend where appropriate daily plans
* Collate all feedback against plan in the daily operations log for use in plan/do/review calls
* Daily operations issue management and resolution for transport and with local warehouse
* Responsible for full and effective daily brief/debrief for DHL, agency and sub-contractor drivers
* Responsible for driver and fleet legal compliance during shift in accordance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards
* Accident and breakdown management via DHL standard operating procedures
* From time to time you may be requested to deputise for the Transport Manager on daily plan/do/review calls
* To schedule, prepare and conduct monthly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines
* Manage operational costs and identification of cost performance trends - i.e. fuel performance/accidents etc
* Manage disciplinary and grievance in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures
✅WHAT YOU'LL BRING
* Preferably comes from either a warehouse or transport supervisory level
* Proactive and dynamic
* Able to work well under pressure
* Supervisory skills - managing individual performance/absenteeism/conflict and development
* Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship
* Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
