An award-winning organization in the logistics industry in the UK is seeking a Technical Application Support Manager to join their expanding IT and engineering divisions.
This role would be contributing to a variety of new projects as well as giving the opportunity to build and lead new Application Support Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for provisioning technical support capabilities for Microsoft-specific technologies such as .NET, ASP, SQL Server, T-SQL, Web services and Web applications
* Hands-on to lead, coach, support and delegate technical experience to a team of application support specialists, always looking to build capability within the team
* Developing and implementing risk management and a risk-based approach to service management
* Some experience in leading a team as part of a service desk or incident operation response
* Develop training plans for new hires in the expanding team and continue to improve training for current staff
Requirements:
* 7+ years of experience of technical competency within as many of the following as possible: Windows Server operating systems, ASP.NET applications, ASP.NET hosting environments, .NET applications, REST APIs, MS SQL servers and Azure
* Keen documentation skills
* Experience and competency in managing a team with great relationship management skills
* Fluent or excellent English communication skills both verbal and written
* Must have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship or visas
This role would be working on a Hybrid basis from the Liverpool area with the standard being 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home (this can be discussed).
