Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part‑time social worker to join the Eastbourne and South Wealden Neighbourhood support team based at St Marys House, Eastbourne. You will be part of an established, dynamic and busy team and will be creative in your approach to the needs of our community and build on peoples' assets with a strength‑based approach. You will need to be confident and competent in assessing risk, identifying appropriate need and have experience providing social care/multidisciplinary interventions. Ability to work effectively in a team, commitment to customer service, and excellent communication skills are essential. In‑person assessments and reviews in the community we serve are essential parts of the role, so the ability to meet the travelling requirements will need to be demonstrated.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A wide range of safeguarding experience.
* An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* In‑depth experience of risk assessment and complex case management work.
* A good knowledge base and understanding of completing assessments under the Care Act 2014.
* Working within the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
