The Opportunity They're seeking a dynamic, commercially savvy Finance Manager to join their leadership team. This is a pivotal role, combining hands-on financial management with strategic business oversight. Youll ensure their financial information is accurate, up to date, and communicated effectively to owners and third parties. Youll also play a key part in driving business improvement across sales and operations, supporting the clients continued growth and market-leading standards. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounts Oversight Manage day-to-day finance operations; ensure all financial data is accurate and up to date in Xero. Liaise with external accountancy firm for statutory compliance and annual returns. Prepare, review, and present regular management accounts, cashflow, and financial reports for owners and stakeholders. Monitor KPIs and performance against budget; highlight trends, risks, and opportunities. Business Performance & Improvement Analyse business data to identify areas for improvement across sales, operations, and finance. Support owners with actionable insights and recommendations to drive performance and profitability. Lead or support business improvement initiatives and projects as required. Reporting & Communication Provide timely, clear, and accurate financial and commercial updates to owners and relevant third parties. Ensure all reporting requirements (internal and external) are met, including FCA compliance where applicable. Compliance & Governance Support the business through FCA compliance processes; maintain up-to-date records and documentation. Liaise with external advisors to ensure all regulatory requirements are met. General Business Management Act as a trusted business partner to the owners, keeping them informed and involved in day-to-day matters. Bring a sleeves-rolled-up approachhappy to get involved wherever needed. About You Proven experience in a business management, finance manager, or similar commercial role, ideally within an SME environment. Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software and financial best practices. Experience working with external accountants/auditors. Excellent data analysis skills; able to turn numbers into actionable business insights. Commercially minded, with a track record of driving business improvement across multiple functions. FCA compliance experience (desirable). Confident communicatorable to present complex information clearly to non-finance stakeholders. High energy, positive, and proactivebrings enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to the team. Hands-on, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
