Head of Housing Management
Job description
INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY
Permanent
Ref: HOS36
An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead our Housing Management Service at a time of transformation and renewed focus on tenant satisfaction across the borough. This new role has been created to provide additional resilience and capacity in delivering essential housing management services to our tenants and residents.
You will be responsible for ensuring that tenancy agreements are upheld, statutory responsibilities are met, and our most vulnerable residents are supported. You will also oversee the safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of communal areas, ensuring they meet the standards our communities deserve.
As part of our Housing Improvement Transformation Programme (HTIP), you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Housing Operations and Safe Communities to drive service improvements and enhance the customer experience. You will play a key role in supporting the council’s action plan to achieve a C1 grading from the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and improve performance against the Tenant Satisfaction Measures (TSMs).
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of housing management in Dacorum, working collaboratively with other Heads of Housing and partners across the organisation to deliver a high-quality, compliant, and safeguarding-focused service.
You will be required to manage complex tenancy cases, lead service development projects, and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure our services are responsive, forward-thinking, and aligned with best practice. You will also contribute to strategic planning and policy development, ensuring our housing management offer reflects the needs and voices of our residents.
An Enhanced check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
The deadline for applications will be midnight on the closing date shown in the advert details.
