Deputy Manager - Childrens Residential Services\n\nRole Overview and Location\n\n * \n\n Region: Reading\n\n * \n\n Sector: Specialist Children's Residential Care.\n\n * \n\n Organisation: A professional provider focused on high-quality care and the well-being of young people.\n\n * \n\n Position: Permanent, Full-time leadership role.\n\n * \n\n Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Registered Manager.\n\n * \n\n Schedule: Working hours include a combination of office based management and shift work as agreed with the Registered Manager.\n\nCore Responsibilities and Leadership\n\nYou will be responsible for the safe and efficient management of the home, helping to shape the statement of purpose and advocating for residents.\n\n * \n\n Leadership: Serve as a role model of excellence, providing effective staff coordination and managing the team of support workers. Take full responsibility for the home in the absence of the Registered Manager.\n\n * \n\n Compliance: Assist in ensuring the service operates in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies, and quality standards. Maintain all regulatory documentation to a high standard.\n\n * \n\n Service Development: Support a development plan that ensures clinically informed practice and high standards of individual care planning.\n\n * \n\n Team Management: Lead recruitment, induction, mentoring, and supervision of employees.
