Join to apply for the Digital Infrastructure Design Engineer role at WSP.
WSP is looking for Engineers and Assistant Engineers to join our Intelligent Infrastructure team. We are expanding our Digital Infrastructure Design Capability across all areas and are actively seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about digital technologies and digital design methodologies. The role can be based in Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester or London.
Role responsibilities
* Engage in design tasks within a broader team, facilitating on-the-job learning of roadside infrastructure design.
* Collaborate effectively with the team, share ideas, provide support, and address gaps as necessary.
* Mentor and contribute to the development of junior staff.
* Approach problems with a strong problem-solving mindset and navigate ambiguous situations, escalating issues to senior staff when appropriate.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate
* A degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or relevant experience in technology design.
* Either working towards professional registration or professionally registered with an accredited institute.
* Domain knowledge in a relevant industry, such as power, communications, electrical, electronics or highway design.
* Understanding of roadside infrastructure and design standards.
* Ability to carry out design processes, including the use of design tools.
* Experience in delivering designs or schemes as part of a team.
* Collaborating with colleagues from other disciplines.
