Join our Formulations team as an Assistant Scientist, where you'll apply your expertise in wet chemistry and chromatographic techniques to analyze the physical and chemical properties of diverse sample types, with a focus on plant protection products and regulatory compliance.
What you'll be doing:
* Perform laboratory procedures using standard laboratory equipment.
* Preparing sample extracts for analysis using a various wet chemistry techniques.
* Support laboratory studies in accordance with study plans and validated methods.
* Operate and maintain analytical instruments including Gas Chromatography (GC) and Liquid Chromatography (LC).
* Use of computer applications such as Excel and Word to calculate results and summarise information for reporting, etc.
* Review and verify data generated by team members.
* Contributing to maintenance of the laboratory by performing regular equipment checks.
* Maintain Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) infrastructure, e.g. updating records and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
What we're looking for:
* A relevant science qualification (e.g. Chemistry) with hands on laboratory experience.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
* Ability to maintain accurate and clear written records.
* Effective team player with the ability to work independently.
* Good written communication skills for documentation and reporting.
* Proficiency in IT applications, especially Excel and Word.
* Familiarity with Quality Systems such as GLP or ISO 17025 is desirable.
