Responsibilities:
1. The primary responsibility of the role is to perform quality checks on web pages and digital content for the e-book reader.
2. The associate needs to perform e-book conversion and should have working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
3. The role requires quickly understanding eBook content editing tools and workflow operations.
4. The associate must continuously learn new features of the editors and improve their skills to efficiently edit and fix content, following editing SOPs to spot errors.
5. The associate needs to perform content quality checks to ensure user experience, content flow, and format quality on Kindle devices, using relevant software tools for quality audits, content editing, and data capture.
6. The associate should be aware of operational metrics like productivity, quality (defect percentage), and SLA requirements, and will be measured on compliance with these metrics and guidelines.
7. The role requires being a team player, suggesting process improvements, and often communicating with global stakeholders to provide updates and escalate issues.
8. This is an individual contributor role.
9. The candidate should have a graduate degree, be proficient in MS Office, and comfortable with numbers.
10. Attention to detail, good communication skills, and professionalism are essential.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience with Microsoft Office applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Basic knowledge of XML and HTML standards, interpersonal skills, time management, and exposure to eBooks.
