Description
Ayr Clinic Priory is looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full time/37.5-hour role.
Based in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, Priory Hospital Ayr Clinic is a low secure service for males and females with a mental health diagnosis and/or a personality disorder. We can support people from all over the UK. Lochlea House and Gatehouse are two stepdown services located in Ayrshire which are part of Ayr Clinic also.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Assess and develop personalized intervention plans to support clients with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to promote independence and improve daily living skills.
* Implement therapeutic activities and recommend adaptive equipment to enhance clients’ functional abilities.
* Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Provide education and training to clients and their support networks to facilitate long-term wellbeing.

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist with proven experience working directly with clients to assess their needs and deliver personalized therapy programs. The candidate should be skilled in conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing intervention plans, and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and with families to promote positive outcomes. Prior experience in settings such as schools, healthcare, or community services is highly desirable.
