This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Chartered Accountancy Practice based in Winchester, Hampshire. The role involves split responsibilities between accounts (50%) and audit (50%), with flexibility based on the candidate's experience and aspirations.
Our client operates from their Winchester office and allows staff to work remotely 2 days a week. Their clients are mainly UK-based owner-managed businesses, but they operate nationally, leveraging the expertise of their experienced team. Responsibilities of an Audit and Accounts Semi Senior:
1. Preparing statutory accounts, VAT, and tax returns
2. Managing audit engagements successfully
3. Allocating and reviewing work of junior staff
4. Preparing financial documents, audit reports, accounts, and tax returns
5. Communicating accounting and auditing matters to managers
6. Participating in audit engagements from start to finish
7. Performing other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
* At least 2+ years of practice experience in accounts preparation and assisting audits
* AAT qualified or studying ACCA/ACA
* Well-organized and able to work independently
* Experience dealing with clients face-to-face
* A team player willing to assist others
