Are you a confident and resilient Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for a rewarding new role this September? We are recruiting for a specialist Alternative Provision in Bradford and are seeking an experienced professional who can thrive in a challenging but highly rewarding environment.
The Role:
You will be supporting pupils who may present challenging behaviour, SEMH needs, and barriers to learning, helping them re-engage with education in a structured and positive setting.
Your responsibilities will include:
✅ Delivering lessons and interventions across the provision
✅ Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
✅ Managing behaviour confidently, calmly, and consistently
✅ Building positive relationships with hard-to-reach students
✅ Supporting emotional regulation and personal development
✅ Working closely with teaching, pastoral, and leadership teams
Essential Requirements:
✔️ A recognised HLTA qualification is ESSENTIAL – applicants without this will not be considered
✔️ Previous experience working with challenging behaviour is ESSENTIAL
✔️ Previous experience in UK schools / alternative provisions is ESSENTIAL
✔️ Strong behaviour management strategies
✔️ Calm, patient, and resilient personality
✔️ Ability to build trust and motivate disengaged learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
