About the Role
In this full-time position, you’ll be part of a highly skilled, caring and enthusiastic team who believe in providing every learner with the chance to achieve their potential. You’ll support students with a range of complex SEN needs, working in both classroom and practical learning environments that focus on communication, creativity and personal development.
You’ll help foster confidence, independence and emotional wellbeing through a combination of structured activities and tailored support.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting young people with severe SEN in 1:1 and small group sessions
* Assisting with learning, communication and life-skill development
* Helping to deliver creative and engaging lessons suited to each student’s needs
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
* Working closely with teachers, therapists and pastoral teams to ensure holistic support
Requirements
* A minimum of 6 months’ childcare or education experience, particularly with children or young adults with special educational needs
* A full UK driving licence – essential due to the school’s location
* A patient, understanding and resilient approach
* A genuine passion for helping students with additional needs thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
