Overview
We are seeking a skilled Cutter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fabrication and mechanical knowledge, with experience in operating various cutting tools and machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring precision and quality in our production processes, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Duties
* Operate cutting machinery and tools to fabricate materials according to specifications.
* Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated cutting processes.
* Interpret CAD drawings and SolidWorks designs to ensure accurate cuts and assembly.
* Perform milling tasks as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Conduct materials handling and manage tooling effectively during production runs.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production efficiency.
* Assist in assembly tasks as needed, demonstrating versatility in the production environment.
* Engage in basic welding tasks when necessary, contributing to the overall fabrication process.
Requirements
* Proven experience in fabrication and warehouse environments is essential.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools proficiently.
* Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CAD software is highly desirable.
* Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to cutting tasks.
* Experience with milling machinery is advantageous.
* Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently, demonstrating good physical fitness for lifting tasks.
